## Key figures and leadership:
While the boycotts started with Rosa Parks, there were a number of other people involved as well.
1. Martin Luther King: MLK was a 26 year old minister who led the Montgomery Improvement Association.
2. Jo Ann Robinson: She was the president of the Women’s Political Council (WPC), She printed 35,000 flyers to announce the boycott.
3. E.D. Nixon: A ported who bailed Rosa Parks out of jail and saw an opportunity to stop the jim crow laws.
