This was the specific lawsuit created by 5 women who were mistreated on buses to try and stop the city's segregation laws directly. The Supreme Court eventually declared bus segregation unconstitutional, officially ending the 381-day boycott

Brown vs Board of Education

This case ruled that "separate but equal" schools were unequal and unconstitutional in public schools. It was used to argue that segregation should also be illegal on public transport
